The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at PNC Park, knocking off the Pittsburgh Pirates, 6-3. Starting pitcher Luis Garcia was a big reason why. Garcia, now 9-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 7, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. Bryan Abreu notched his 13th save in 15 chances.

Los Angeles used a clutch at-bat from Austin Meadows to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Angels ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We did a lot of things right," said Garcia.

Los Angeles now sits at 31-30, while Pittsburgh falls to 23-39.
