White Sox Pull Out Late Win, 9-8
In a high-scoring game between Chicago and Kansas City, left fielder LaMonte Wade Jr. was a difference-maker. The 31-year-old helped Chicago grab the 9-8 win. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Chicago reliever Aroldis Chapman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Ryan Helsley took the loss. The White Sox improved their record to 29-35 with the win over Kansas City.

In the bottom of the eighth, the White Sox grabbed the lead when Wade Jr. hit his 12th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Ryan Helsley made it 9-8, Chicago.

White Sox manager Bobby G wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
