White Sox Pin 4-2 Loss on Los Angeles
|
No one was more impactful than Nathaniel Lowe in the 4-2 Chicago win over Los Angeles. Lowe, who is tied for 3rd in the AL with a .405 on-base percentage, went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Bryan Woo got the win, improving to 7-4. He held the Angels to 2 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 0. Aroldis Chapman earned the save, his 14th, for the White Sox.
Lowe had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a full count fastball from Tyler Anderson, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the White Sox a 4-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Lowe.
After the game, Chicago manager Bobby G applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
The 'W' lifts Chicago's record to 33-36.
