Texas Gets 9-7 Win
Dodger Stadium was the site for American League action featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers and Texas Rangers.

The Texas Rangers knocked off the Los Angeles Dodgers, 9-7, at Dodger Stadium. Luis Rengifo was a big reason Texas won. The second baseman went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win puts Texas at 24-44.

Texas used the timely hitting of Matt Vierling to capture the win. The left fielder socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rangers ahead, 6-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Los Angeles manager Jeff R. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
