Giants Lose By a Run at Los Angeles
|
Starting pitcher Jared Jones was a major factor in the 3-2 Los Angeles Dodgers triumph over the San Francisco Giants. Orion Kerkering closed it out for his 10th save. Los Angeles is now 37-34. San Francisco is 36-35.
Had Josh Rojas not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Rojas hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Dodgers.
Los Angeles manager Jeff R commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
