5-for-6 Day for Arraez
|
No matter what the New York Mets threw at him, Luis Arraez hit it. He easily handled Mets pitching, going 5 for 6 and helping the Padres triumph, 10-6, at Citi Field.
"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Arraez's quip, Mets skipper Craig K said he "would take him up on that next time."
Luis Arraez singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
Looking at his stats this year, Arraez has compiled a .367 batting average, while hitting 4 home runs and driving in 32 runs. He has played in 74 games and scored 46 runs.
