The Texas Rangers dealt the Kansas City Royals a 6-4 loss at Globe Life Field. Geraldo Perdomo was the star on offense. He went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win went to Blake Burkhalter in relief. His record improves to 4-2. Jonathan Cannon took the loss. Edwin Uceta recorded his 7th save for Texas.
The Rangers got a big at-bat from third baseman Gage Workman. For the game, Workman was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the second, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Texas a 2-0 lead.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Perdomo.
With the win over Kansas City, the Rangers improved to 33-40.
