Suwinski goes 3-for-5 to Light Cubs Fuse
|
The Chicago Cubs cut down the San Francisco Giants by the score of 11-6, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder Jack Suwinski. Suwinski went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5 for the Cubs. Chicago reliever Genesis Cabrera picked up the win to move to 2-1. Nabil Crismatt suffered the loss. The triumph puts Chicago at 45-30 for the season.
Suwinski contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Chicago get the win.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Suwinski.
