Behind a fine performance from Marcus Semien, the New York Mets knocked off the Atlanta Braves, 8-6. Semien was 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Mets. New York pitcher Ryan Burr earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Frankie Montas suffered the loss. The defeat makes Atlanta 31-43.

In the top of the 5th, New York took the lead on a 2-run single by Ryan Mountcastle. At the time, the Mets were trailing 5-4, but Mountcastle's hit with two outs against Atlanta pitcher Kutter Crawford put them in front, 6-5.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Mountcastle told the New York Times.
