The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Hayden Wesneski, but the Pittsburgh Pirates still won the game, 5-3. Wesneski threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Pittsburgh pitcher Jovani Moran got the win. He's now 5-1. John Brebbia was tagged with the loss. Pittsburgh is now 33-45, while Texas is 35-42.

Pittsburgh took control in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Jamie Westbrook hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Pirates.

"It never gets old," said Westbrook. "Winning, that is."
