The first-place Chicago Cubs picked up another win.

Chicago picked up a win at Wrigley Field, bumping off the Seattle Mariners, 7-2. Pitcher Landon Knack was a major reason the Cubs emerged victorious. The National League Central Division-leading Cubs are 43-34.

Jack Suwinski, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in home runs with 21, took Seattle hurler Kyle Hendricks deep in the bottom of the second. His 2-run home run put the Cubs on top, 3-1. In all, Suwinski had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"Landon kept his poise and got the job done," said Chicago manager Bryan H. "He was outstanding."
