Mariners Fall Short at Chicago, 4-3
The Chicago Cubs beat the Seattle Mariners, 4-3. Chicago pitcher and Tulsa, Oklahoma, native Tyler Wells led the way. Chicago is now 44-34. Seattle is 28-48.

The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Jack Suwinski came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Seattle pitcher Kyle Freeland, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 4-3.

"When Tyler is on, he can really move the ball around," said Chicago manager Bryan H.
