The Baltimore Orioles eked out a 3-2 win versus the Texas Rangers at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Nobody did more than pitcher Shohei Ohtani. He was terrific. The winning pitcher was Ohtani, now 3-8. He tossed 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. The 4th-place Rangers have dropped 4 straight games.

Travis d'Arnaud had a big run-scoring double for the Orioles in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Baltimore leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from reigning Cy Young Award winner Yoshinobu Yamamoto and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Orioles ahead, 3-1.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Ohtani, "one at-bat at a time."
