Toronto 6-4 Losers to Guardians
|
The Cleveland Guardians cut down the Toronto Blue Jays by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to shortstop Masyn Winn. Winn went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Guardians. The win for the Guardians lifted their record to 45-33.
In the bottom of the sixth, Cleveland first baseman Carlos Santana gave his team the lead. With two out and the bases loaded, Slamtana hit his 12th double of the year. Toronto pitcher Ryne Stanek surrendered it. With that, the Guardians jumped in front, 5-4.
"We didn't play well enough to win," Toronto skipper Dan D said.
