Wesneski Leads Texas Past Seattle
The home crowd had a good time watching the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers get after it.

Texas turned a good effort from starter Hayden Wesneski into a win over the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Field. The final score was 5-0. Yuki Matsui, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.

The Mariners had trouble solving Wesneski, who surrendered no runs on no hits over 7 innings.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Wesneski.

Texas, now 37-45, holds down third place in the American League West Division.
