Royals Slap 4-3 Loss on Los Angeles
|
The Kansas City Royals overcame a pretty good performance by Los Angeles center fielder Sammy Siani, beating the Dodgers, 4-3, at Kauffman Stadium. Siani went 4-4 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Kansas City reliever Scott Barlow snagged the win, upping his record to 4-2. Kyle Harrison shouldered the loss. Jhoan Duran notched his 22nd save in 25 chances.
Kansas City center fielder Daulton Varsho helped the Royals go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Varsho hit a run-scoring single off Los Angeles pitcher Orion Kerkering.
"It was a solid team effort," said Varsho after the game.
Kansas City is now 39-45, while Los Angeles is 42-43.
