Colorado Upended by Milwaukee, 5-4

The Colorado Rockies could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Cal Raleigh into a win. Instead, the Milwaukee Brewers prevailed, 5-4. Raleigh went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Clayton Kershaw got the win, improving to 4-9. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Milwaukee now sits at 35-50, while Colorado falls to 49-35.
The Brewers got a big at-bat from second baseman Jeff McNeil. For the game, McNeil went 1 for 2 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 10th double of the season gave Milwaukee a 3-1 lead.
"We were the better team," crowed McNeil.
