The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the New York Mets, 6-2, in part because of left fielder Joc Pederson. Pederson belted 2 home runs for the Brewers. Kyle Finnegan, 1-6, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The Brewers sport a record of 36-52.

Pederson had a game-changing home run in the top of the 12th. On a 0-1 slider from Ryan Burr, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Brewers a 3-2 lead. It was the 24th home run of the year for Pederson.

"Baseball is such a beautiful game," said Pederson. "Anything can happen on any night, and that's why you don't dwell on what happened yesterday. Just look forward and trust you're going to have positive results."
