Down Goes Philadelphia, 6-1
|
Starting pitcher Nabil Crismatt did his part in helping the San Francisco Giants thwart the Philadelphia Phillies, 6-1. With the victory, the Giants upped their record to 50-44.
Michael A. Taylor had a big solo home run for the Giants in the bottom of the fifth inning. With San Francisco leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Aaron Nola, who finished 3rd in the AL in wins with 18 in 2023, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Giants on top, 3-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Taylor.
