Judge Mashes 2 Homers in 6-5 Baltimore Win
|
A good performance from center fielder Aaron Judge helped the Baltimore Orioles defeat the New York Mets, 6-5. Judge went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Orioles. Baltimore starter Nathan Eovaldi was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 7 innings. His record now stands at 5-2. Josh Sborz notched his 11th save in 18 chances.
Judge had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a full count curveball from Braxton Ashcraft, he banged a 2-run home run to right-center, giving the Orioles a 6-4 lead. It was the 36th home run of the year for Judge.
"It never gets old," said Judge. "Winning, that is."
Baltimore is now 44-48, New York 54-39.
