Alek Manoah had a strong outing for the Kansas City Royals against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Kauffman Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-2 win. Ryan Helsley earned his 2nd save in 4 chances.

Willy Adames hit a 3-run home run off Jovani Moran in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Royals ahead, 4-2. In addition to the homer, Adames had 1 double, while going 2 for 4.
