Hoskins Hits 2 home runs in Royals Win
|
Rhys Hoskins was a major contributor to the 8-3 Kansas City win over St. Louis. The Royals first baseman slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Jhoan Duran earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.1 innings. He upped his record to 2-4. Kansas City raised its record to 52-43 with the win.
In the top of the sixth, the Royals grabbed the lead when Hoskins hit his 16th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Brennan Bernardino made it 6-3, Kansas City.
"We'll relax tonight and enjoy this win," said Hoskins.
