Marlins Win, 5-3, Versus Cincinnati

Jesse Winker did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Reds from being beaten, 5-3, to the Miami Marlins at Great American Ball Park. Winker was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Robert Garcia, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1 innings. The loss makes Cincinnati 46-47.
Alex Bregman provided a timely hit. The Miami third baseman delivered a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Marlins on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
Miami manager Ryan S called it "a pretty good win."
