A good performance from center fielder Julio Rodriguez helped the Chicago Cubs defeat the Minnesota Twins, 11-3. Rodriguez belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Cubs. Tyler Wells got credit for the win, improving to 5-6. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits in 5 innings. With the win, Chicago pushed its record to 54-40.

Early in the game, Rodriguez had a 2-run home run for Chicago. It was his 24th home run of the season and put the Cubs on top, 2-0.
