The Texas Rangers handed the Los Angeles Angels an extra-inning, 3-2 defeat at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Right Fielder Lawrence Butler starred for Texas. He went 5-7 with a home run and 4 singles. Butler had a game-changing home run in the top of the 14th. On a 2-1 slider from Luis Patiño, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Rangers a 3-2 lead. It was the 13th home run of the year for Butler.
