Phillies Win, 4-3, Versus Oakland
|
Carlos Rodón, who finished 5th in the AL in wins with 16 in 2022, propelled his team to victory over the Oakland Athletics. The final score was 4-3, Philadelphia. Philadelphia reliever Justin Martinez picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Reed Garrett took the loss. The triumph puts Philadelphia at 61-37 for the season.
Jasson Dominguez was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Phillies pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Carlos had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Philadelphia manager Jon C.
