With 3-2 Win, Phillies Go to 62-37
|
In a tight tilt between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Oakland Athletics, Aaron Nola was the deciding factor. The Philadelphia right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. DL Hall notched his 3rd save in 7 chances. The Phillies, now 62-37, have won 5 in a row.
Tyler Fitzgerald helped out the Philadelphia cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. For the game, the shortstop drove in one run.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Philadelphia manager Jon C said.
