San Francisco Tacks 9-1 Loss on Atlanta
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at Truist Park, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 9-1. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Nabil Crismatt. He played a key role in the triumph. Crismatt, now 4-5, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. The Giants now have a record of 54-48 with the win over Atlanta.
San Francisco used the hitting of Nelson Velazquez to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Giants on top, 3-0. For the game, Velazquez had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Steven G. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
