The Atlanta Braves had to overcome a fine effort from San Francisco pitcher Logan Webb to win, 4-3, at Truist Park. Webb went 8 innings and allowed no runs. Will Vest snagged the win in relief. He goes to 5-3 on the season. Ryan Pressly suffered the loss. The loss makes San Francisco 54-49.

Atlanta got a knockout punch from Mark Vientos. The first baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

Vientos called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
