The 8-7 Los Angeles win over Houston was due in large part to Heston Kjerstad. The Angels left fielder was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Bryan Abreu got the save, his 21st in 26 chances. Los Angeles goes to 49-54, Houston to 55-50.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Angels grabbed the lead when Kjerstad hit his 21st home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Hunter Harvey made it 8-7, Los Angeles.

Los Angeles manager Mark A was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.
