Atlanta and Texas played a hard-fought contest.
Atlanta turned a good effort from starter Garrett Crochet into a win over the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field. The final score was 3-1. Crochet got the win, improving to 9-8. He gave up 4 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.
Atlanta used a timely hit from Vinnie Pasquantino to get the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Braves ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"I thought Garrett threw the ball well across the board," said Atlanta manager Steven G.
By defeating Texas, the last-place Braves improved to 45-59.
