The San Francisco Giants converted a terrific effort from starter Logan Gilbert into a win over the New York Mets at Oracle Park. The Giants won the game by a final score of 2-0. After today's action, San Francisco sits at 55-49; New York slips to 59-45.

Yasmani Grandal drew 1 walk for San Francisco. The 36-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring walk off Chayce McDermott. It was his 31st walk of the season.
