New York beat Philadelphia on the strength of starting pitcher Andre Pallante's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-3. Pallante, now 6-7, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 2 runs. New York goes to 45-60, Philadelphia to 66-39.
The Yankees got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn. For the game, O'Hearn went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
