Angels 5-1 Winners Over Houston
|
The Los Angeles Angels picked up a win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, knocking off the Houston Astros, 5-1. On the mound for Los Angeles was right-hander Alec Marsh. He played a key role in the triumph. In 6.1 innings, Marsh surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The Angels improved their record to 51-55 with the win over Houston.
Los Angeles center fielder Tyrone Taylor contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a slider to right-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 61st hit of the season and put the Angels ahead, 3-0.
