Royals Earn 5-4 Home Win
|
The Kansas City Royals picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, taking down the Cleveland Guardians, 5-4. Starting pitcher Taylor Dollard was a big reason why. Kansas City now sits at 51-55, while Cleveland falls to 59-47.
The Royals got a big at-bat from catcher J.T. Realmuto. For the game, Realmuto went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 2-1 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Dollard.
