Big Day for Torkelson in 6-3 Red Sox Win
|
The Boston Red Sox dealt the Minnesota Twins a 6-3 loss at Target Field. Spencer Torkelson was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Boston is 54-54 and Minnesota, with the loss, 58-49.
With Boston leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Torkelson hit a fastball from Spencer Schwellenbach for a 3-run home run. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Red Sox ahead, 4-0.
"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Torkelson. "You've got to get results."
