Torres Helps Chicago Cruise to 12-3 Win
Spirited fans greeted the Milwaukee Brewers for their clash with the Chicago Cubs.

Gleyber Torres helped his team muscle past the Milwaukee Brewers, 12-3. In the game, the Chicago third baseman went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. The winning pitcher was Brandon Woodruff. He tossed 89 pitches over 7 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits.

Giancarlo Stanton was 1-4 with a walk for Chicago. The 35-year old designated hitter had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off Merrill Kelly. It was his 46th walk of the season.
