The Houston Astros defeated the Seattle Mariners, 6-3, in American League action at Minute Maid Park. Houston pitcher Hunter Brown had a standout performance. In 5 innings, Brown surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 10 and walking 2. He allowed 3 runs. With the win over Seattle, the Astros improved to 57-52.
The Astros got a big at-bat from first baseman Yordan Alvarez. For the game, Alvarez went 1-1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 13th double of the season gave Houston a 2-0 lead.
Houston manager Logan F called it "a pretty good win."
