Atlanta picked up a win at Kauffman Stadium, bumping off the Kansas City Royals, 7-5. Pitcher Garrett Crochet was a major reason the Braves emerged victorious. Dedniel Nunez, credited with the save, is now 15 for 20 in save opportunities. Atlanta is now 48-61, Kansas City 52-57.

Atlanta needed the clutch hitting of Vinnie Pasquantino to seal the deal. The designated hitter swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Braves on top, 5-3. For the game, Pasquantino had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It was a solid team effort," said Pasquantino after the game.
