The Chicago Cubs faced a tough opponent in Milwaukee pitcher Ronel Blanco, but did just enough to pull out the victory at American Family Field by a final score of 5-4 in 11 innings. Blanco went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Andres Munoz picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 5-2. Steven Matz suffered the loss. Chicago now sits at 63-46, while Milwaukee falls to 44-65.

The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Julio Rodriguez came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Milwaukee pitcher Steven Matz, he hit a first pitch curveball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Chicago on top, 5-4.

"We earned that one," said Rodriguez.
