In a low-scoring affair between the Chicago Cubs and the Baltimore Orioles, pitcher Jesus Luzardo was the difference between victory and defeat. The Chicago left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-2 Cubs win. Andres Munoz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 26 of 29 save opportunities. The victory gives Chicago a record of 64-46.

Dansby Swanson took Baltimore hurler Bryce Elder deep in the bottom of the sixth. His solo home run put the Cubs on top, 3-2. In all, Swanson had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Chicago manager Bryan H said.
