loanDepot Park was the site of a competitive game between the New York Yankees and Miami Marlins.
The Miami Marlins rode a solid performance from 38-year-old starting pitcher Yu Darvish to a win, beating the New York Yankees, 3-1, at loanDepot Park. Robert Garcia snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-3 on the season. Michael Mercado suffered the loss.
In the bottom of the sixth, Michael Siani delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Miami left fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Marlins in front, 3-1.
"Nice to tuck this win away," said Darvish.
The loss makes New York 47-65.
