Tigers Win Nail-Biter
The Detroit Tigers snuck past the Minnesota Twins, 4-3, in 10 innings. Detroit pitcher Luis Castillo, in particular, had a standout performance. Detroit reliever Julian Merryweather picked up the win, upping his record to 5-3. Louie Varland absorbed the loss. Detroit is now 73-42, while Minnesota is 60-54.

The Tigers got a clutch hit from shortstop Carlos Correa. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Tigers.

"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," Correa said in postgame remarks. "Soon enough, the finish line will be in sight."
