The Chicago Cubs got a rain-soaked win over the Minnesota Twins.

A good performance from shortstop Jorge Mateo helped the Chicago Cubs defeat the Minnesota Twins, 5-4. Mateo went 1-2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Cubs. Chicago reliever Chad Green picked up the win to move to 4-3. Adrian Martinez suffered the loss. John Brebbia, credited with the save, is now 1 for 2 in save opportunities.

Josh Naylor helped out the Chicago cause in the bottom of the first inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4.

"I still think this team can play even better," Mateo told the Chicago Times.

With the victory, the Cubs upped their record to 69-47.
