Cubs Pull Out Late Win, 6-5
The Cubs grabbed a win, 6-5, at Busch Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from St. Louis pitcher Marcus Stroman. Stroman went 5.1 innings and allowed no runs. Andres Munoz earned his 29th save in 32 chances. After today's action, Chicago sits at 69-47; St. Louis slips to 40-77.

Will Smith helped out the Chicago cause in the top of the eighth inning with a 3-run home run. For the game, the catcher went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
