Brewers Clonk Reds, 5-3
|
The Cincinnati Reds could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Trevor Rogers into a win. Instead, the Milwaukee Brewers prevailed, 5-3. Rogers threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The winner was Robert Suarez in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Alex Vesia took the loss. Trevor Megill picked up the save for Milwaukee, his 3rd of the year.
Sandro Fabian took Cincinnati hurler Alex Vesia deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 3-run home run put the Brewers on top, 4-3. In all, Fabian had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Fabian told the Milwaukee Times.
The Milwaukee winning streak has reached 3 games.
