Red Sox Come Back Late to Top Rangers, 6-4
The Boston Red Sox faced a tough opponent in Texas pitcher Peter Lambert, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Fenway Park by a final score of 6-4. Lambert went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 runs. Boston reliever Aroldis Chapman snagged the win, upping his record to 7-3. Yuki Matsui shouldered the loss. Alexis Diaz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 23 of 27 save opportunities.

Boston took a 6-4 lead on Sean Murphy's 26th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Murphy hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Texas pitcher Yuki Matsui visibly frustrated.

Boston manager Chris L praised his team's "businesslike approach."

With the win, Boston pushed its record to 61-58.
