William Contreras left his imprint on the 6-4 Philadelphia win against the Cincinnati Reds. Contreras, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a .362 on-base percentage, went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Philadelphia pitcher Nick Martinez got the win, upping his record to 8-5. Joe Ryan got the loss. Justin Martinez earned his 36th save in 41 chances.

Philadelphia took a 6-4 lead on Nick Maton's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Maton hit in the top of the eighth, left Cincinnati pitcher Jeremiah Estrada visibly frustrated.

"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Philadelphia manager Jon C.
