Braves Rack Up 5-2 Win Versus Cleveland
|
The Atlanta Braves knocked off the Cleveland Guardians, 5-2, at Progressive Field. Heliot Ramos was a big reason Atlanta won. The left fielder went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Atlanta reliever Aaron Bummer got the win, raising his record to 8-3. Dylan Cease was tagged with the loss. By defeating Cleveland, the last-place Braves improved to 55-68.
Ramos had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 curveball from Dylan Cease, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Braves a 5-2 lead. It was the 14th home run of the year for Ramos.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ramos told the Atlanta Daily News.
