Justin Steele was nothing short of phenomenal for the Toronto Blue Jays. The 30-year-old left-hander was a big reason his team beat the Texas Rangers, 3-1. Steele, the winner, moves to 14-6. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 4 walks. Tanner Banks converted his 5th save in 9 tries.

The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from right fielder Jordan Walker. For the game, Walker went 1-2 with a double and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Toronto a 2-1 lead.

Toronto manager Dan D commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
